One of the most beautiful places I've ever walked through
The Backs is just stunning - seeing the colleges from across the river is something else. Cambridge is compact enough to explore on foot and every street has something worth stopping for. Really glad I made the trip.
Punting on the Cam was worth every penny
We went punting along the River Cam and it was such a relaxing way to see the colleges. The water is calm, the views are gorgeous and the whole thing felt very laid back. Cambridge is genuinely one of a kind and the city centre is easy to get around on foot.
Perfect city for a cultural weekend break
The Fitzwilliam Museum alone is worth a visit - free entry and packed with incredible art and artefacts. Cambridge has a really rich cultural side beyond just the university. King's Parade is beautiful and the whole city feels very walkable and welcoming.
Loved every bit of it
Cambridge blew me away. The architecture is like nothing I've seen before - King's College Chapel especially. The streets are lively with students, tourists and locals all mixed together. Food options on Mill Road were great too, loads of variety and decent prices.
A proper classic British city trip
Everything about Cambridge just feels genuinely historic without being stuffy. The cobbled lanes, the old college gates, the little independent cafés - it all adds up. Grabbed a scone from a bakery near the market square and it was spot on. Great city break.
Cycling around Cambridge is an experience in itself
Rented a bike and cycled around the city - it's such a natural way to get around here. The flat roads make it easy and you get to see so much more. The Christmas lights along the main streets looked magical and the market was buzzing with good food stalls.
